Doctor Who: 5 Reasons Why We Need A New Showrunner

2. Shut The TARDIS Doors

John Hurt One thing we could use from Steven Moffat is a bit of closure. It has quite literally taken us years to get answers out of this guy. Instead of clear answers that bring more questions, some of Moffat's mystery has felt as though it's spinning out of control (i.e. The Wedding of River Song). We are finally drawing to the close of the massive arc that has been his run: we understand the Silence's mission, the first question, River, the exploding TARDIS. Giving the audience closure in plain English isn't exactly a strength for Moffat, but we do what we can and when we look at the facts, we can see that we do indeed have most of the threads in Eleven's gigantic web of a story. Now that the biggest bomb of all has been dropped, it would be excellent to see the 50th Anniversary and Christmas toy with the Doctor's greatest secret of all time before coming to a fitting end. Crucially, this should be an ending with actual closure. Please for the love of god, give us some closure. All this mystery is starting to Hurt (See what I did there?...because John Hurt...never mind).
