Doctor Who: 6 Things We Learned In Kill The Moon

1. But The Doctor Has Pushed Clara Too Far

Last week Danny sowed the seeds of doubt in Clara's mind; don't let the Doctor push her too far. It didn't take long for Clara to realise that this Doctor's ruthless nature had taken her to her limits and put herself, Courtney and the alien being within the moon egg at great risk. Despite his assertions that he trusted in Clara's ability to do the right thing it was simply too much. In a spell-binding scene onboard the TARDIS, Clara turns on the Doctor with fury and despair over what he did. He has pushed her past her limit; she was ready to kill another life form. He made her do that by not giving her the courtesy of providing the information she needed to make that informed decision. Simply put, the Doctor put her and Courtney in mortal danger just to prove a point. From the despair and confusion of Deep Breath to that final scene between them on Kill The Moon, it has been a momentous journey for Clara and she has come to realise she cannot travel with this man the Doctor has become. It is a decision that is sure to have big ramfications for the show moving forward. Of course, the events of Kill The Moon leave us with questions too. Is Clara really done? Will Danny's wise words be enough for her to reconsder her actions? Could Courtney take her place on the TARDIS? Kill The Moon turned the series on its head and it will be interesting to see where it goes next.
