Doctor Who: 9 Predictions About The Regeneration Conundrum
2. The Solution Could Involve Magic
You've got to admit it, with every "Doctor Who" script coming down the pike in which dogged determination, love or simply realizing one's wonderful humanness conquers all Just of the top of the head, there's "Hide," "Closing Time," "Night Terrors," "The Snowmen" we might want to fear Mr. Moffat may resort to relying on a very old device he once employed. Recall the parody episode "The Curse of Fatal Death" penned and directed by Moffat back in 1999. The climactic and surprisingly dramatic climax to this 20-minute concentrated burst of silliness results in what we believe is the actual, final, truly ultimately fatal death of the Doctor. Goodbyes are said before the regeneration process begins, impossibly. Utterly naff it is, but hey, all in good fun for charity, right? As long as no seriousness is intended, we could at least enjoy the oh-so-brief prospect of a sexy Joanna Lumley as Doctor. But all jokes and kidding aside, is anyone else afraid Moffat might panic and go for the nonsensical, feel-good continuation...?
