Somewhere outside our universe, she is waiting. A god-like immortal, living in a realm of clocks. The hours tick slowly by as she plots and plans. She is readying her trap. A trap for a very special man in a very special police box. Hecuba has all the time in the world. But for the Doctor, time is running out.
I am very, very confused as to how a story like this could have been even remotely considered for filming back in the day. I have a feeling it would have looked and felt every bit as bizarre as "The Mind Robber", only perhaps even less coherent visually. It also doesn't help that the story is a bit confusing, and felt quite padded. I think this is one of those rare Big Finish stories that could have benefited from being a three-part story. Two would be too little, and four was too much. That aside, I liked Hecuba's relationship to a previous Doctor Who villain, and, of course, even when the story itself leaves a bit to be desired, Frazier Hines' work as the Second Doctor is always something wonderful to hear.
