Doctor Who: Day Of The Doctor Trailer Analysis
The Eleventh Doctor's anti-grav motorbike gets another outing, Rose warns the Hurt Doctor that "The moment is coming", and we finally get to see that footage shot in Trafalgar Square that dominated Doctor Who webspace when it was recorded by fans. Surprisingly, YouTube user John Smith's fan-made trailer was dead on and the Tardis actually is being carried by a helicopter in this scene. My guess is that the Tardis loses power and the Eleventh Doctor gets an airlift from UNIT, or that he just wants to make a bit of an entrance as usual. The Hurt Doctor tells somebody that "I'm ready". The obvious assumption is that he's ready to use the Moment and tear Gallifrey a new one but Steven Moffat is the master of misdirection and trailers always lie, so it could be something completely different. The Tenth and Eleventh Doctors compare Sonic Screwdrivers (cue what looks like jealousy from the Tenth Doctor) while Elizabeth the First watches, Rose gives someone a cheeky little wave (who wants to bet she's gushing over the Tenth Doctor yet again?), and, in another traditional part of the Multi-Doctor love-in, the Tenth and Eleventh Doctors compliment each other's Brainy Specs. Oh and the fez makes a comeback. Because some things just won't stay dead.
