10. The Costume

He doesn't wear a bow tie now. No bow ties are cool. The big news in the last month was the reveal of the Twelfth Doctor's new attire; many were quick to point out how similar it is to both Matt Smith's and Jon Pertwee's costumes, with Peter Capaldi himself defending the look, claiming, "He's woven the future from the cloth of the past. Simple, stark, and back to basics. No frills, no scarf, no messing, just 100 per cent Rebel Time Lord." The outfit for the new Doctor was further showcased in the streets of Cardiff, where scenes were shot between the Doctor and Clara outside the TARDIS. There's still no word on how the Doctor comes to acquire the outfit, but it's extremely possible that in the filmed scene, he's just come out from the TARDIS wardrobe; never rule out the possibility of him stealing from a hospital though. He does save the world enough to earn the right to "keep the clothes".
