1. Tintin & Snowy (The Adventures Of Tintin)
An absolutely brilliant companion for the Doctor would be the classic character; Tintin. Along with his trusty dog, Snowy, Tintin has an unrivalled sense for adventure and a knack for solving mysteries. Tintin has boyscout ideals and morals which make him a truly good and heroic character, much like the Doctor himself, and his bland personality would provide a very interesting (and possible quite humorous) juxtaposition to that of the Doctor's. He's intelligent and imaginative and has good powers of deduction, which could make him the ideal companion for the Doctor's travels. Snowy would provide the cautious approach that is always needed in a successful team, while his powerful sense of smell and ability to fully understand human speech would make him a very useful character to have tagging along.
