1. First Love
Come on. How could it not be this? Say what you like about the Doctor and Rose but you can't deny the fact that they've given us the greatest love story in Doctor Who history. Well, definitely the most conventional one, at least. Rose Tyler gave her heart to the Doctor and, while he was never quite human enough to let his reciprocated feelings be known, he luckily had his metacrisis counterpart to do the work for him. An aptly timed get-out clause or the world's most romantic gesture? You decide. The duo are often criticised for bringing too much tenderness into the TARDIS with some even doubting their relevance at all. For all intents and purposes, though, the Doctor and Rose was a love story and, as the song goes, "your first love is someone that you never forget". Something tells us Rose won't be forgetting the Doctor any time soon (not only because she's waking up to his face every morning) and lyrics such as "I think I've cried about a million tears", "I've done a lot of living in a few short years" and "You're the first to ever break my heart" are also particularly relevant. They are with most love stories, of course, but let's just live the dream and say it was all written for them. Because why not? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIgqdb1A_eY What do you think of this list? Are there any other Billie Piper songs that perfectly define her on screen alter ego?
