Doctor Who: 10 Celebrity Cameos From The Revived Series

10. Sharon Osbourne (The Sound Of Drums)

Throughout the third series in 2007 (although the Doctor didn't actually become aware of the situation until the finale - he's always the last one to the party!), the Master had been using powerful brainwashing techniques to subliminally make the human race do his evil bidding. In this case, the evil bidding involved ensuring he had their backing in the upcoming election which doesn't sound like that much of a big deal really. It wasn't long before they regretted giving him their vote. The point is, Doctor Who used the political campaign commercials as an opportunity to include some humorous cameos from an array of celebrities who would be voting Saxon. By this point it was also a continuation of the running gag, dating back to 2005, of celebrities appearing in the Doctor Who finales and it was a nice touch which helped bring the action closer to the real world. One of the celebrities in question - as seen above - was Sharon Osbourne who is best known in the UK as a judge on The X Factor. She was usually heard saying no on that but this time she was giving Harold Saxon her stamp of approval. It's a yes from Sharon. You can tick her box any day.
