Doctor Who: 10 Characteristics Peter Capaldi’s Doctor Should Have

10. Scottish Accent

scottish-flag-600x300 I think it would be nice if Capaldi used his natural Scottish accent while playing the Doctor. Apparently, I am not alone; the latest from the rumour mill says that use of Capaldi's natural accent is likely, so I guess I am in good company rooting for some Scottish pride. He could merely reuse the accent he affected for his former character Caecilius in Fires of Pompeii, but unless there is a crazy tie-in between characters (personal plea: don't try it Mr. Moffat, please.) the coincidence would seem strange. Moreover, none of the Doctors, thus far, have used a noticeable Scottish accent, and I do not see why Scotland should not be represented. Some might argue that without an applied accent he would be too Capaldi, and thus have a hard time seeing him as the Doctor, but I do not feel that this trait is enough to make or break one's belief in Capaldi as the Doctor. But I am not quite done where the subject of speech is concerned.
