10 Great Doctor Who Moments From The Brain Of Morbius
4. Morbius' Disembodied Brain
Perhaps one of the most memorable moments from The Brain of Morbius is, well... the brain of Morbius. When viewers are first shown the titular grey-matter they're treated to a grim vision of life after death. Morbius has negated his death by having his brain stored in a jar full of green liquid. What makes this image even creepier is the equipment connected to the jar which allows the maniacal Morbius to communicate with the outside world. Morbius is perhaps one of the most text-book evil Time Lords the Doctor comes across. Certainly as theatrical as the Master, Morbius is a character which lends himself to evil doings of the most melodramatic nature and the fact that Morbius remains menacing and disturbing as a disembodied brain is a testament to the incredibly powerful writing behind his inception. Yet again, this imagery is burned into the collective consciousness of the Doctor Who fandom.
