10. He Was In A Band With Craig Ferguson

Who would have thought it?! Doctor Who-loving chat show host Craig Ferguson and actual Doctor Who Peter Capaldi were once in a band together. So that makes it official. All famous Scottish people know each other... apparently. In their youth, Peter (as lead singer) and Craig (on the drums) formed part of a punk rock band called... wait for it... The Dreamboys (formerly known as the rather edgier The B*stards from Hell). According to an interview Capaldi gave on Graham Norton's chat show, the band's name meant they were often booked by parties who mistakenly thought they were a group of male strippers. After breaking up the band in the 80s, the pair of punks were eventually reunited when Peter went on Craig's show back in 2009. It resulted in Craig's memorable introduction: "I've actually taken acid with my next guest!"
