Doctor Who: 10 Most Powerful Daleks Ever

3. Supreme Dalek (The Stolen Earth/Journey's End)

With a unique casing design, an instantly recognisable colour scheme and one of the biggest armies commanded by a Dalek, this Supreme is one of the most badass in Who History.

Brutal, arrogant and hateful, the Supreme Dalek also held the rank of leader of the New Dalek Empire and used it to conquer twenty-seven planets.

First appearing in 2008's The Stolen Earth/Journey's End, the 'Supreme One' was the first of a new race of Daleks created from Davros' cells to begin a new conquest of the universe. Amassing an army of a million Daleks and a battle station known as 'The Crucible', the Supreme Dalek ousted Davros and took control of the Empire.

Locking Davros in a vault with Dalek Caan - the last remaining member of the Cult of Skaro - this tyrannical leader began its plan to kidnap planets across time and space, including Earth.

Managing to subdue the Earth with a full-scale invasion - including disabling UNIT and ordering the death of former prime minister Harriet Jones (yes, we know who she is) - the Supreme Dalek planned to use the stolen planets to create a reality bomb. A superweapon with the power to decimate all matter in existence, the reality bomb was one of the Daleks' most ambitious plots.

Finally destroyed by Captain Jack Harkness, the Supreme Dalek, Davros and the New Dalek Empire was no more.

Or so it seemed.

Davros, his creations and a similar Supreme Dalek returned in 2015's The Magician's Apprentice/The Witch's Familiar to remind audiences how terrifying, and cool, the Daleks can be.
