4. The Empty Child (The Empty Child)
Are you my mummy?
This was actually the first episode of Doctor Who I ever saw.
This episode features the iconic gasmask zombie, who searched for his mummy until the end.
Also being the first appearance of Captain Jack Harkness, played by John Barrowman, it was the nanites that were on his ship which transformed the young Jamie into the creature.
Fusing the gasmask to the face, as the nanites assumed that this was the intended design of a human, they proceeded to infect anyone they came into contact with. We were shown a terrifying scene where the transformation happens; this part scared me the most.
Though it did result in a happy ending, the mark that the Empty Child made will be permanently etched onto anyone watched the episode.
