Doctor Who fans across the land have been eagerly awaiting Series 9 since their beloved Time Lord last appeared on their screens at Christmas and now his long overdue televisual return is finally in sight. Sort of. OK, so there's still at least 3 months or so to go yet (*sigh*!), but thankfully there have been plenty of intriguing developments to keep our over speculative minds occupied in the meantime. Familiar faces will be returning, old foes will be back with an almighty vengeance and that'll all be after Missy's reign of terror is cranked up to the next level in the two-part series premiere. Speaking of two-parters, they'll be more of them than ever before in Series 9 with linked stories to keep us guessing until the very end. As you can see, there's lots to be excited about. In fact, although it's still far too early to say, let's be totally crazy for a second and predict that the Twelfth Doctor's second string of adventures will be the best series to date. Without jinxing it, it really feels like Doctor Who has entered a shining new chapter and its legion of dedicated followers can't wait to see what happens next. Here are just 10 things to look forward to. Is it the autumn yet?!
