1. Trying To Kill His Own Companion

There are no surprises here. The most obvious and most hated moment when the Doctor acted out of character is when the newly regenerated Sixth Doctor tried to throttle his companion, Peri, to death.

This dreadful piece of writing comes in the otherwise dire The Twin Dilemma, an adventure that many fans try and fail to love. Never had fans felt so far from the ideal of the Doctor as "never cowardly or cruel".

Suffice it to say that many other stories have shown a post-regenerative trauma for the Doctor, but he hasn't turned into a sociopath in any of them. Yet.

What do you think? Are there any other moments where the Doctor acted completely out of character? Let us know in the comments section!
