Doctor Who: 10 Times The Doctor Went To War

9. Dalek-Movellan War

The Dalek-Movellan War is just one of the Dalek's many skirmishes throughout time and space.

This War originated in 1979's Destiny of the Daleks, where the stylish-looking Movellans tracked the Daleks back to Skaro. The Fourth Doctor intervened when he realised they were all searching for the remains of Dalek creator Davros.

The enemies were locked in a stalemate and evenly matched - with hundreds of Dalek and Movellan battlecruisers warring across space. Securing Davros was a last-ditch attempt at winning the war for both sides.

Unable to stop the Daleks resurrecting and claiming Davros, the remaining Movellans managed to retreat. The Doctor managed to help a human slave party capture Davros and return him to Earth for trial. For the Daleks and the Movellans, however, the battle would continue for another day...

The Twelfth Doctor later travelled to another Dalek-Movellan battlefield in 2017's The Pilot, where the war was still raging on. From the look of that battle, it seemed like the Daleks were taking the advantage - cutting their enemies down with ease.

Perhaps soon we'll get to see if these two warrior races are still feuding, and who will have the upper hand.
