Doctor Who: 10 Villains They Should Probably Retire

1. The Weeping Angels

The Weeping Angels The Weeping Angels is a great idea. A scary alien able to kill you kindly. Such a good contrast. When I first watched "Blink", I thought they would never return... But 3 years later, they did. "The Time of Angels" and "Flesh and Stone" were just as good as the episode they first featured in. "That which holds the image of an angel becomes itself an angel" was pure brilliance and a great twist to the story. But then came "The Angels Take Manhattan". Surprisingly enough, this was my favourite Angels episode, but equally the one that made me never want to see a Weeping Angel again. Firstly, the Statue of Liberty as a Weeping Angel? No. The idea that no one was watching the Statue of Liberty made no sense whatsoever. There will always be someone looking at it, so how would it be able to move? Also, had it occurred to anyone else that throughout the episode, they would have looked at one another at least once because there were so many of them? One of their weaknesses is that they are unable to move when they are being looked at, even if it's by another angel. Lastly, the Weeping Angels are called that for a reason. They were angels that covered their eyes in order to not look at one another. But in this episode, there were cherubs and statues of people as Weeping Angels, which kind of defeats the point of their name. And so with that, the Weeping Angels are no longer the Weeping Angels, just moving statues. So I think it's now time to say goodbye. Do you want to see another Weeping Angel episode or think maybe the Daleks should retire? Let us know in the comments below.

Name a fandom and I am probably in it. Doctor Who is my life and all I do at home is watch TV and films... In bed, with food...
