1. Let's Kill Hitler
I'm going to be upfront about this one. If I could have put every single episode of the godawful River Song arc on this list, I would have. Unfortunately, cooler heads prevailed, and I elected Let's Kill Hitler to serve as the Song arc's representative. Let's start off with Mels. I can't cope with the fact that Moffat thought it would be a good idea to have River turn out to be Amy and Rory's bestest childhood friend that we've never heard of until this episode. Lazy writing. Then we can talk about the borderline offensive regeneration, where River focuses on a dress size and immediately runs off to weigh herself because OMG that's what girls are like. Maybe we can move on to the painfully indulgent attempted murder scene, in which the Doctor and River have a competition to see who can be more smug and annoying. The only redeeming factor? Rory's crowning moment of awesome, where he punches out Hitler and shoves him in a closet. A brief ray of light in a tornado of awful.
