3. Exterminate!
We’ve grown somewhat accustomed over the years to the Daleks zipping around and talking a strong extermination game, but not often getting round to doing some actual exterminating. That certainly changed at the end of this episode.
Faced with all manner of Daleks - including some great throwback ones, and the Supreme Dalek - Missy and Clara are in a tricky situation, and despite efforts to sweet-talk them/run away respectively, both are apparently exterminated.
It’s safe to say most didn’t see that happening (I certainly didn’t), and it was one of a few real ‘holy s**t!’ moments towards the episodes climax. Although it’s pretty much certain that they’ll be coming back (making it 0/2 on attempts to zap Missy into oblivion), it was still a shocking scene to witness at the time.
