If there's one thing that Doctor Who fans love Donna for, it's her loud mouth. Sarcastic, witty and boisterous, she's never afraid to speak her mind, and is always prepared to be brutally honest with those around her... even if that means lobbing an insult or two.

The Fires of Pompeii is no exception in this regard, and Donna gives the Doctor a fair amount of sass throughout the episode.

At one point though, she gave him even more, with Moran revealing that a section was cut wherein the two characters insult each other with Roman-themed barbs.

The Doctor would've called Donna "Biggius Mouthius", while she would've replied "Pompous Gittius". Why was this removed!

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
