Doctor Who: 20 Things You Didn't Know About The Tenth Doctor

10. The Master’s Death Scene Really Bummed Him Out

The Tenth Doctor's second series ended in grand fashion, with the death of his mortal nemesis/possible lover, the Master.

After getting shot by his wife, the evil Time Lord refused to regenerate, dying in the Doctor's arms.

It's a bittersweet scene for sure, and one that really affected Tennant. He said that he was upset with his final performance and was "quite depressed" once it was all said and done.

This is baffling, because Tennant's performance is outstanding in this scene. Still, actors are always their own worst critics, so this is hardly surprising.
