Doctor Who: 20 Things You Didn't Know About The Tenth Doctor
1. He's The Greatest TV Character Of The 21st Century
In a poll organised by Digital Spy, the Tenth Doctor was named the greatest TV character of the 21st Century, beating out Hannibal Lecter, Sherlock Holmes, and perhaps most impressively of all, Game of Thrones' Tyrion Lannister.
We should add "So Far" to that title, because this poll was conducted in 2016. But that doesn't diminish Ten's achievement, nor the countless other accolades the character has received over the years.
Doctor Who Magazine readers voted him the best version of the Doctor in 2006. This honour has been echoed by various other outlets, including IGN. We don't have him at number one though. Sorry Mr. Tennant!
Basically, Tennant's portrayal of the character just is that good. His ability to go from serious to silly in the blink of an eye - alongside his effortless charisma and charm - makes him the actor when it comes to playing the Doctor.
