Doctor Who: 4 Things To Expect From The Twelfth Doctor

matt-smiths-thank-you As most Whovians know, BBC will ruin our Christmas this year by killing the charming Eleventh Doctor. Although we'll always love and remember our raggedy doctor, we're sure to see an amazing new take on the Doctor with this twelfth incarnation. Though he (or she) has yet to be cast, there are certain carry-overs that we can expect from our new favorite Time Lord. Here's a short list about what we should expect from this new hero.

4. His/Her Personality Summarized In One Word, A Defining Characteristic, In His First Full Length Episode

After each regeneration in the new series so far, the Doctor has moments of clarity in which he discovers precisely what this new incarnation is like. During "The Christmas Invasion," Ten realizes "Is that the sort of man I am now? Rude and not ginger?" Ten has a lot of fun distracting the bad guys by dancing around the question of who he is, while he saves the world and foils their plan right in front of them, quoting the Lion King and generally being amazing. Then, during "The Eleventh Hour," after Eleven crashes the TARDIS on Amy Pond's front lawn, he snacks on some good, old-fashioned fish fingers & custard. As he consumes the bizarre snack with relish, the young Pond calls him funny. Eleven responds, "Am I? Good. Funny's good." I'm willing to bet we'll have another moment of clarity where an overly self-aware Doctor finds his most dominating personality trait.
