Doctor Who: 5 Places The Doctor Should Go Next (On Earth)
2. The Inca Empire
Doctor Who went to the Aztecs, why not the Inka? It's been years since fans last had an episode involving American indigenous cultures, and truthfully, that is where writers will find a great deal of unique things to revamp the series. The Doctor and the Incan king, Pachacuti? Plus, llamas are funny. Apart from that, the time for an episode on the Inka is now. Peter Capaldi is darker and the Inca, surprisingly, can be easily depicted as much darker than the Aztecs, even though there was much much more human sacrifice where the Aztecs are concerned. The Inka were darker in terms of human conquest and were actually pure genius with their methods of conquering much of Peru - and then some. What's more, they were generous and allowed the cultures that they conquered to keep their cultures, but they built themselves into the history and mythology of Peru. They built their temples above the old temples as if to say that they owned the people. This is why an Incan episode would be amazing. Not to mention the Incan King mummies that were displayed in public and had a regular role in everyday society.
