38. An Unearthly Child (First Doctor)
And we go from the last story filmed to the first. The story begins not in the way you'd expect. It features Ian Chesterton and Barbara Wright, two school teachers who are concerned about one of their students, Susan Foreman. After trying to talk to her, they opt to instead follow her home. However, rather than winding up in a neighborhood, they find themselves in a junk yard, where they see a large blue police box. Out walks an old man.... And the rest is history.
37. Carnival Of Monsters (Third Doctor)
The name is pretty catchy, ain't it? For the first time since his exile to Earth, the third Doctor is freely allowed to take the TARDIS anywhere he chooses. His companion Jo Grant is at first very excited, until it seems as though they've landed on Earth again. But upon further inspection, things seem off. For one, there's a dinosaur that pops up and promptly disappears. Then they learn that everyone but them is caught in a time loop, repeating the same things over and over again. Their eventual discovery? They're trapped in a miniature zoo called a Miniscope, with several exhibits inside showing off all forms of alien life forms, usually monsters. As they try to find a way out, they unwittingly release the monsters from their own exhibits. While this is no danger to the normal-sized people owning the Miniscope, it puts everyone inside in grave danger.
