Doctor Who: 6 Reasons Why the 50th Anniversary Will Not Disappoint

1. What We Don't Know...Yet

What We Don't Know...Yet It€™s important to remember how very little we actually know about the 50th anniversary special. Moffat said that all that was revealed to the public was what they were filming outside; the rest is just speculation. Therefore, we may get little appearances from past Doctors and past companions, the locations and sets which were iconic to Who in previous decades and villains who have in the past challenged the Doctor; we simply don€™t know. McGann may be appearing in some form or another; we've no way of conclusively saying he won€™t be. And doesn't the fact that we don€™t know anything just point to the anniversary being brilliant? Past Doctors may not appear, even past companions may not, but we will be surprised in one way or another as the past and future of Doctor Who is celebrated on the evening of November 23rd because of the lack of knowledge we have about the anniversary now. That unspoiled surprise will make it a special event; making us gasp, laugh, become filled with joy and jump up and down in excitement. Perhaps the fact that there is so much that we don€™t know yet is the biggest reason as to why the 50th anniversary won€™t disappoint. We've so many shocks, surprises and revelations to experience before the end of the 50th celebrations and it€™s going to be a joy experiencing them all.
