First and foremost Missy is thought to be the woman who gave Clara the Doctors number in last years The Bells of Saint John. The woman who united Clara and the Doctor. If this is the case, Missy is surely a good person. In bringing Clara and the Doctor together, she has surely indirectly saved the universe several times. Missy said that she was in a relationship with the Doctor so she would have direct access to the Doctors phone number. If this is correct, Missy must possess some time travel capabilities which would allow her to travel back into the past so as to provide Clara with the Doctors phone number. As the Moff has a penchant for creating boisterous, over-the-top female characters with the capability of piloting the TARDIS (River, Tasha Lem), this could quite possibly be the truth. Either that, or she isnt the woman from the shop at all.
