9. Clara Oswald And Danny Pink's Christmas
Poor Danny Pink and Clara Oswald fell in love but never got to live happily ever after. While many fans felt that the on-going love story turned much of Series Eight into the Clara and Danny show, there was no denying that there were some heartwarming moments between them and his death was a shocking tragedy, one that she arguably never recovered from. While their first awkward date provided plenty of laughs - and felt right out of Moffat's sitcom Coupling - the best moment between them on screen occurred ironically after his death. In Last Christmas, we got a glimpse of the happiness they were denied, Danny in a Santa suit and Clara living the happy christmas she always dreamed of. Samuel Anderson and Jenna had great chemistry and this scene epitomised why they were a perfect match for each other. Alas, it was not to be.
