Doctor Who: Every Festive Special Ranked From Worst To Best

6. The Doctor, The Widow And The Wardrobe

2011's The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe doesn't have an Oxford comma in it, and we're trying our best not to hold that against Steven Moffat.

It's an odd episode this. The only real baddie is pollution, as a group of sentient trees try to escape a planet set to be devoured by acid rain. They eventually do this by hijacking the brain of a woman from World War 2-era Britain, who guides them to safety.

It's unconventional, but a real thinker. Is this what you want at Christmas? Probably not, but the stunning shots of snowy forests and the actual wood creatures themselves are so damn Christmassy, that is almost makes up for it.

As for the Oxford comma, that's just silly, stupid, and wrong.
