Doctor Who: Every Tenth Doctor Episode Ranked From Worst To Best

19. Tooth And Claw

Doctor Who The End of Time
BBC Studios

Tooth and Claw may not be a stone-cold classic, but it's action-packed and engaging throughout.

After initially meeting Queen Victoria, we are whisked off to a mansion (containing a werewolf) which is guarded by ninja monks. And the pace never lets up. There are some spooky moments peppered throughout, and a great werewolf transformation sequence that holds up remarkably well today.

Tennant also shines in an episode that would've worked much better as a series opener than New Earth did. He's funny, smart, and an action hero all at the same time, and it's a better overall representation of his Doctor than the episode that came before it.
