Doctor Who: Every Title Sequence Ranked From Worst To Best

1. The Ninth & Tenth Doctors (2005-2010)

There is nothing quite like the energy behind the Ninth and Tenth Doctor's title sequences. The time vortex was back in full-force, the TARDIS was given a starring role, and the BBC threw everything at 3D graphics, from the new logo to the actor credits. Murray Gold's perfect blend of orchestral and electronic pays homage to both the original version of the theme, and to that of the 1996 movie, all while moving it forward into the 21st century. The version heard from Voyage of the Damned onwards is by far the most adrenaline-pumping arrangement.

There were a few minor tweaks over the five years this opening was incumbent, from a better logo model and the aforementioned theme tweaks. But, the title sequence remained pretty much unchanged throughout its tenure, as it was pretty much perfect in the first place. Nothing in the modern era has matched these visuals or this Murray Gold arranged theme, and it's not entirely certain anything ever will.

Also the go-to for Doctor Who, and could tell you why Sans Serif fonts are better than most. Still occasionally tap dances under the desk.
