Doctor Who Flux: 10 Huge Questions After Once, Upon Time

9. Who Else Was In The Fugitive Doctor's Team?

It’s safe to assume the storming of the temple of Atropos led by the fugitive Doctor was not a false memory. The 13th Doctor relives it, but though she spots her old face in a reflection, she cannot see the original Division operatives who were working alongside her. Instead, Dan, Yaz and Vinder take their places.

Dan’s weapon gives away his true identity as Karvanista, meaning the Lupari is even closer to the Doctor than we thought. Not only is he a Division operative, he was also working for the fugitive Doctor. No doubt the Doctor will be coming back to him for more answers.

Yaz and Vinder’s true identity is kept from the audience, but they could be standing in for Gat and Lee Clayton (Fugitive of the Judoon) who we know both worked with the fugitive Doctor. Vinder also sees Yaz playing the role of his military boss (explaining why when he first meets her, he assumes she is his superior), so here too she might be a rank above him.

It’s possible that their identities are left unknown because they are of no relevance to the story, but could Chibnall be holding their true faces back for a later reveal? They could be key to unlocking the truth about the Doctor’s past. If not Gat and Lee, could they be other characters we already know?
