“Clara, you didn’t!”

Peter Capaldi acts the initial realisation that Clara has taken the chronolock from Rigsy beautifully. Staggering about the room, he barely says a word for the first few minutes, leaving Ashildr to explain to Clara why she has effectively signed her death warrant. He is unable to process his emotions at first, but does not take long to spring into action.

“Fix this, fix this now. You can, and you will, or this street is over.”

Twelve, refusing to give in, turns on Ashildr, insisting she remove the chronolock despite knowing, and having said himself, that this is impossible. He demands her to fix the situation, threatening to end her and everything she loves if she can’t save Clara. He refuses to accept that there isn’t a way out, even though he can’t see one himself.
