Doctor Who: It's Not a Question, It's a Phenomenon

3. Everybody Loves The Doctor

Guess what the number one, most downloaded TV show on iTunes was last year. €œGlee€? Nope. €œMad Men€? Not quite. It's €œDoctor Who€. Want to read a book about him? They have published hundreds, and dozens more hit the shelves every year, not to mention three magazines devoted to the show. Want a replica Sonic Screwdriver like the Doctor uses? There's that and more: action figures, TARDIS USB hubs, play sets, posters...the list is endless. And it sells. Even Muskogee€™s own Hastings stocks quite the supply of Doctor Who items (and gets quite a few exclusive-to-the-chain items!). €œLate Late Show€ host Craig Ferguson has long been an outspoken advocate of the program, and everyone from Tom Hanks to Stephen King to Bob Dylan counts themselves as friends of the Doctor. €œSouth Park€ has even been known to slip references into the background of episodes.

I am me, essentially. I'm a 40-something year old college student, a father, and a photographer. I love Doctor Who and The Beatles equally, no matter how much people try to tell me it's not natural.
