1. Rivers Last Farewell
Id love to put every second of Smiths screen time in The Name of the Doctor on this list, but theres just not enough space. So instead, I picked my favorite. Hes just had an emotional farewell with his wife, whom he will (presumably) never see again, whom he knows has just faded away forever in front of him. Smith gets this look, and its so complicated and sad. He just stand there, for a moment, letting the loss wash over him. He bows his headand then he turns around and goes to get Clara. Its a wonderful moment, a sort of final chapter in the Eleventh Doctors struggle to accept death over the last year. Someone he loved has died, has passed forever from the world and from him. But he has learned how to absorb it, and how to walk away. I swear I thought this would be a funny list. What happened to the funny?
