Doctor Who NuWho Companions: Where Are They Now?

Life beyond the TARDIS.

The revived series of Doctor Who turns 10 years old this month which means that it's nearly been an entire decade since the TARDIS reopened its doors for a 21st century audience. And oh, what a decade it's been! The last eight series of timey-wimey adventures have introduced us to 4 irreplaceable incarnations of the Doctor (plus a secret one that nobody knew even existed!) who have each fought off their own respective menagerie of malevolent monsters to ensure that the nation has been constantly kept hiding behind their sofas. Our iconic hero would be nothing, though, without his legion of coveted companions and it's no exaggeration to say that he's been through his fair share of them since his 2005 revival. But just what happens to them when they leave the wonders of the Whoniverse behind? Being signed up as one of the show's sought after sidekicks is guaranteed to make you a household name and it's generally a done deal that each actor will go on to achieve bigger and better things when they decide to call it a day on their extra terrestrial escapades. As such, to coincide with the 10th anniversary and to celebrate the gracious companions that have been lighting up our screens since the show's televisual return, here's a rundown of what the NuWho companions are up to now, including the 'one off' guest stars who helped to make that formidable 2009 'gap year' all the more bearable. Because they're basically companions too, OK? Without much further ado... onwards!
