Donna Noble The Most Important Woman In The Universe
Best Episode: Partners in Crime
Im waving at fat
Donna wasnt always so high on my list of favorite companions. She was a bit grating in Runaway Bride, though she was fine once she stopped yelling (unfortunately the yelling takes up about half the episode Im in my wedding dress!! I havent got pockets!!). But after Marthas unfortunate infatuation with the 10th Doctor (more on that mess later), Donna is exactly what the Doctor needed not a love interest, not someone who would be interested in him romantically, but a friend who could make him laugh and knock him back in line when hes getting too arrogant, and even save him from himself, as Turn Left illustrated. Before Donna travels with the Doctor, she is loud, bossy, and completely self-absorbed her own little world is so small, and she cant see outside of it until the Doctor shows up in her life. He opens her eyes to all the wonders of the universe, and she gradually becomes softer, less abrasive, and in turn pulls him out of his grief over losing Rose. Donna also helps the Doctor save the Ood, save the Earth from the Sontarans, and save himself and countless others over the course of her season. In the end its a complete shame that she has to revert back to how she was before she met the Doctor. Its in that moment when she forgets that we can truly see how far she had come as a companion and as an individual.
