Doctor Who Series 11: 5 Ups & 2 Downs From 'Arachnids In The UK'

Ups...

5. Family Matters Return To Who

Doctor Who Arachnids in the UK
BBC

Since we’re back on Earth, we’re doing family matters again. Family has played a huge part in Who, especially in the Russell T. Davies era, and we’d already been introduced to Ryan’s side of things, but now we met Yaz’s. With a father who can’t cook, and unemployed sister giving Ryan some attention, and a mother wrapped up in all things spider-y, Yaz’s family plays a central part in Arachnids in the UK, and it’s always fun to see a companion that’s been to alien worlds and seen things you’d never believe settle back into reality.

Plus, we got to see the Doctor’s classic rambling when in the presence of humans. We’ve seen it somewhat before, but here it was dialled up to 11. Thankfully, it never got to Matt Smith levels of rather annoying.

Born in Theatre, sits at a Computer. After over a decade of tinkering with Video Editing software, Rich gets to spend his precious time editing whatever's thrown at him. Also the go-to for Doctor Who, and could tell you why Sans Serif fonts are better than most. Still occasionally tap dances under the desk.
