Well, talk about an emotional ending. Of course Clara's ending wasn't going to be in Face The Raven, but the series finale. And she wasn't going to die, not exactly, but live between two heartbeats, completing her transformation into a sort-of Doctor, complete with her own TARDIS and travelling companion. As the Doctor and Clara sat in the diner, each claiming not to know the other (Clara knew, but did the Doctor?), it was a rather lovely and fitting end of the duo. Then, in one final punch-to-the-chest, tears-in-the-eyes moment, there was a message on the chalkboard. Clara's catchphrase: "Run, you clever boy." Only this time, there was a twist. Rather than the usual "and remember" ending, it was changed to "and be a Doctor" because, well, he can't remember her. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got something in my eye.
