Doctor Who: The Fourth Doctor's 15 Greatest Stories

When he was good, he was very, very good!

Trying to pick the best Tom Baker episodes is like trying to pick between a table full of different cup cakes. They are all just as appetising and everyone loves them. If you were to pick the greatest stories of the entire Doctor Who, there would be at least a handful of Tom Baker ones among them. It's not about deciding which Fourth Doctor stories are good - it's about deciding which ones are the very best of the best. Across seven series Tom Baker delivered the greatest Doctor in the show's history. A lot of that was down to his mesmerising performance but it was also down to some truly astonishing episodes, particularly during his first three years under producer Peter Hinchcliffe. Coupled with amazing companions like Sarah Jane, Leela and both Romanas, the Fourth Doctor set the standard for great Doctor Who, which considering some amazing stories from the Doctors that preceeded him, was no mean feat. To celebrate the great Tom Baker's birthday lets take a look at some of the finest stories produced during his tenure as the Doctor. If you haven't watched much Doctor Who - or just fancy expanding your Tom Baker viewing experience - then these stories would be a great place to start. You'll also notice there's 15, not 10, episodes. That's because there were far too many to narrow it down which tells you something about just how amazing these stories are.
