Dollhouse: Where Are They Now?

[When Mellie was first introduced in Dollhouse as Paul Ballard's neighbour, it seemed obvious she'd play the third side of an inevitable love triangle that included Paul and his pursuit of Echo. While Echo was all assassinations and super spydom, Mellie brought Paul leftovers or picked up his pain meds for him.

The nervous and self-deprecating literal girl next door was later revealed to be a sleeper doll who had been placed next to Ballard to keep an eye on his investigation. Almost murdered, she is saved at the last minute when DeWitt calls in an activation code that unlocks her combat abilities. She later is used by the mole in the Dollhouse to sneak a message out to Paul, revealing herself to him once and for all.

Of all the actors in Dollhouse, Miracle Laurie is the one with the least roles to her name. A 2011 role as Elizabeth Chivers in the comedy show Goodnight Burbank was followed by a smattering of bit roles in the years that followed. She is currently one half of the ukelele cover band Uke Box Heroes alongside her husband, and will next be appearing on screens as Sara Hawthorne in Mesmerized.
