Dragon Ball Z: Ranking Goku's 10 Best Fights

7. Super Buu

Goku's battle with Super Buu is a fairly complicated series of events to say the least.

The lead up sees Buu absorb both Gotenks and Piccolo to garner more power. Although Goku arrives, and cuts Buu in half with a Destructo Disk almost immediately, the villain regenerates and continues fighting on.

Buu loses the power of Gotenks, but manages to absorb Gohan. Buu then allows Goku to fuse with someone of his choosing, eventually selecting Vegeta despite the latter's protests, thus forming Vegito. This all results in Vegito being absorbed on purpose, as a trick to try and defeat Buu, because they can't be fully absorbed due to their Saiyan Barrier, leaving them inside Buu without being absorbed by his body.

Goku and Vegeta then separate inside Buu and begin attacking him, but find they must battle all the people that Buu had already absorbed. After saving their respective crew, Super Buu somehow enters his OWN body to fight them all. It's finally (kind of) over when Vegeta severs Super Buu's connection with the regular Buu, allowing them to escape through the tentacle on his head that he absorbed them all with, and forcing Super Buu back to his original form.

Despite the whole thing being overly complicated, the action was intense, the fighting was full on, and the story continually pointed towards Buu coming out victorious at every turn to keep the audience guessing.
