Dragon Ball Z: Ranking Goku's 10 Best Fights

4. Kid Buu

While still making sure to be a little over-complicated at times, Goku's physical war with Kid Buu is not nearly as convoluted as the previous battle with Super Buu, hence their ranking position, as the Kid Buu fight comfortably trumps the rest of the Buu saga for pure, unadulterated action.

Vegeta of course makes an appearance as he and Goku work their way up through Super Saiyan's 1, 2 and 3 as the battle draws on and both sides become more and more desperate for victory. Fan favourite Mr. Satan makes his mark, albeit a short and ineffective one, on the battle, only surviving thanks to Kid Buu's positive memories of him that live through Good Buu.

Because, Dragon Ball Z.

Without bringing too many twists and turns to the tail, this fight is a bloodbath. A straight physical and violent war between two absolute powerhouses. It doesn't need the frills and smokescreens of story integration or shocks, it relies on it's fast-paced, heavy-hitting fight sequences to drag the audience through a painful war of physicality.

The teetering Spirit Bomb climax is the epitome of the entire series, leading up to what is all but the finale of Dragon Ball Z.
