5. Richard Farleigh
Long-term Dragons Den viewers may remember Richard Farleigh, who appeared as a Dragon in series 3 and 4 of the long running series. He is remembered fondly by viewers as a calm and level headed panellist and a generally likable Dragon, who rarely treated budding entrepreneurs with the same scolding ripostes as the others did. He was eventually canned from the show however in 2007 and claims later surfaced in the
Daily Mail that he was dumped due to the BBCs desire to have an ethnic minority entrepreneur among the panellists. He was ultimately replaced by British Pakistani venture capitalist James Caan for series 5 of the show, and after such furore, it would be a surprise, if not a welcome one, were he to return.
