Dragons' Den: 5 Replacements For Theo Paphitis

3. James Caan

james caan The last former Dragon on this list who may be open to a return to the series is James Caan. The venture capitalist replaced Farleigh for series 5 of the show but left himself after four series' in 2011 so that he could devote more time to "existing investments" and "philanthropic work". Along with Paphitis, he was considered a generally likable Dragon and his loss was mourned much in the same way as the aforementioned Dragon. He set up the James Caan Foundation to promote greater awareness of issues facing the developing world and personally purchased, prepared and delivered emergency food parcels to families in the village of Nowshera in the wake of the 2010 Pakistan floods. He achieved success in the Recruitment Industry initially and co-founded the executive head-hunting firm Humana International. He was ultimately replaced by Hilary Devey in 2011 but she too has since abandoned the show, meaning there is a vacancy going should Caan opt for a return to the series.
