Each Brooklyn Nine-Nine Lead Ranked From Worst To Best
4. Rosa Diaz
One of the first things that many people note is how unrecognisable the performer Stephanie Beatriz is in interviews when compared to her performance in the show. Watching her use her real voice is shocking and genuinely encapsulates how fine-tuned the character of Rosa is.
Diaz plays the stoic serious cop to a high degree, easing into the bad-ass stereotype with no issue whatsoever. As a character she is entertaining to watch because she has very little care for the way she is perceived. It's easy to envy Rosa and her ability to not value peoples thoughts of her.
What makes her so compelling in addition to this is when her reserved and controlled nature is challenged, it makes it feel all the more critical. Characters who rarely appear vulnerable have the distinct storytelling ability to garner more attention when they do, and this works very well in this roles favour.
All this being said, Rosa is also just funny, her line delivery is always top-notch and many of the shows best jokes come from her. This is an impressive feat in a comedy show packed full of talent.
