Eleven Returns In Stranger Things Season 2 Super Bowl Trailer

The world is turning upside down...

It's time to get incredibly excited for the nostalgic world of the Duffer Brothers: the Super Bowl spot for the second season of Stranger Things has just landed, bringing back the best TV characters of 2016 in a short but perfectly pitched tease.

Starting with a nostalgic Eggo commercial, and cutting in ominous images of supernatural apocalypse and more 80s references, this definitely looks like more of the same from the cast and crew, and that is no bad thing.

Here's the teaser...

Just when they thought everything was settling down again!

So, that looks suspiciously like we're getting an even bigger monster, even more peril and even more shady government agencies going all E.T. on the small town of Hawkins, Indiana.

Details are a little scarce at this stage, but Ross Duffer did talk to EW last year to hint at a general shape of the second season:

"We obviously have this gate to another dimension, which is still very much open in the town of Hawkins. And a lot of questions there in terms of, if the Monster is dead, was it a singular monster? What else could be out there? We really don’t go in there much until they go in to find Will at the end. So we’ve opened up this doorway, and to us it’s exciting to talk about, like, what else is behind there? There’s a lot more mystery there to be solved.”

Sounds great. Looks great. Will be great.
