Lead Actress In A Drama Series - Jennifer Carpenter
I thought this was the year. I really thought this was the year. For years Michael C. Hall and the show Dexter have been reaping up the nominations (as well they should be) but I really thought that this was Carpenters year. I never really would have considered Carpenter to be nominated before, for any season Dexter. However, this year she really pulled out the big guns. Carpenter gave a great, great performance in this previous season and really deserved this nod. Watch her performance when she finds out that Dexter is a killer. Shes upset, confused, angry, all at the same time. Watch her and Halls conversation on her back patio about her being in love with him. Watch the end after she shoots LaGuerta. Carpenter was really phenomenal this season and I thought for sure she would get nominated.
