Outstanding Comedy Series - Happy Endings
Im going to come out and say it: I dont think Girls is funny. I do not enjoy the show and I do not understand its success. With that in mind, I cant believe Girls gets nominated and not the funniest show on TV in 2013. Happy Endings was a show that made me laugh out loud almost every single second. It was a blink and you miss the punch-line, kind of show. It had a great ensemble, as well. All six characters got to have their own great jokes in every episode. This show was absolutely one of my favorites and it saddened me deeply when it got canned. Not to mention, the shows completely original take on a gay character, such as Max. Every gay character you see on a sitcom is your stereotypical gay guy, but not in this show. And to have a parody of such gay characters, in Derrick was brilliant. If you missed it, buy this show on DVD so you can see one of the funniest shows to come around in a long, long time.
